Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2, 2026

1. The service

Budget-Time is a Google Sheets add-on and companion API that imports financial account data you authorize (via Plaid) into a Google Spreadsheet you control. By installing or using it you agree to these terms.

2. Your account and eligibility

You must have a Google account and be at least 18 to link financial accounts. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your Google account secure. You may only link financial accounts you are authorized to access.

3. Free trial, subscriptions, refunds

New users receive one free 30-day trial per Google account, with up to two linked bank accounts and all features. The trial is tied to your Google account and does not reset by reinstalling or re-registering. After the trial, syncing pauses until you subscribe to Full Service ($7.99/month), billed monthly through Stripe and renewing automatically until cancelled. You can cancel or pause anytime from your account page or the add-on; access continues to the end of the paid period. Whatever happens to your subscription, data already in your spreadsheet is never affected - we never had access to store or remove it. If Budget-Time isn't working for you, contact us within 30 days of a charge for a full refund.

4. Not financial advice

Budget-Time moves and organizes data; it does not provide financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Imported data may contain errors or delays originating from your bank or data providers - verify before making financial decisions.

5. Third-party services

Bank connectivity is provided by Plaid Inc.; by linking an account you also agree to the Plaid End User Services Agreement. Payments are handled by Stripe. Spreadsheet functionality is provided by Google. We are not responsible for outages or data issues in these services.

6. Acceptable use

Don't reverse-engineer, resell, or abuse the service; don't use it to access accounts you don't own; don't attempt to exceed plan limits or disrupt the API.

7. Your data

Data imported into your spreadsheet is yours. Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Termination

You may stop using Budget-Time anytime; uninstalling and disconnecting banks removes our access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

10. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
